We are supporting a leading renewable energy developer in the search for a Development Engineering Coordinator to support the delivery of large-scale solar and battery storage projects across Australia.
This role sits at the centre of the development team, coordinating between engineering design and grid connection functions while consolidating multidisciplinary technical inputs to optimise project outcomes. You will work closely with engineers, development managers, and external consultants to ensure projects progress efficiently from concept through to construction readiness.
Reporting to a senior engineering lead, the role will contribute to technical strategy, feasibility assessments, and project optimisation to achieve cost‐effective, bankable designs using leading‐edge technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities Technical Coordination & Strategy
* Coordinate engineering inputs across electrical, civil, grid, and design disciplines.
* Assist with key equipment selection and technical development strategies.
* Work with grid connection teams to define electrical interface strategies.
Project Development Support
* Prepare conceptual layouts and support feasibility assessments.
* Maintain development and EPC risk registers and identify technical risks.
* Perform project engineering feasibility checks and yield analysis (e.g. PV simulation).
Delivery & Optimisation
* Support projects during design and construction phases.
* Collaborate with development teams to optimise system performance and cost efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with relevant technical standards and high‐voltage regulations.
About You
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
* 5+ years' experience in utility‐scale solar and/or BESS development or engineering.
* Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams in a matrix environment.
* Knowledge of grid connection, HV systems, protection, control, and commissioning processes.
* Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills across technical and commercial teams.
* Experience with AutoCAD and PV modelling software.
