Job Description
We're seeking a Spanish‐speaking social volunteer to enjoy weekly one hour visits with a lovely lady who delights in the simple pleasures of life. She loves spending time in her garden, enjoys tackling puzzles, and is a devoted cat owner who would welcome good company and conversation.
Your visits might include chatting, sharing interests, enjoying a peaceful moment together, or simply keeping her company while she does what she loves most.

Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience for both the person you visit and yourself. Regular visits from volunteers help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
Responsibilities
* Conduct weekly one hour visits with the senior, offering companionship and conversation.
* Engage in activities such as gardening, puzzle solving, or other interests shared with the senior.
* Provide a friendly, supportive presence that promotes well‐being and quality of life.
Requirements
* 18 years of age or older.
* National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
* Availability for one hour visits, either weekly or fortnightly, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday to Sunday.
* Proficient in Spanish, with ability to communicate comfortably with a Spanish‐speaking senior.
