About the team & role:
The Payments Growth Team aims to increase the number of customers using payment services and enhance their usage in daily business operations. This team operates in a high-cadence experimental environment, emphasizing speed, frequent iteration, a growth mindset, and a deep understanding of customer behavior.
What you'll do
1. Experimentation Design: Design and execute growth experiments across product areas related to Payments within Xero, utilizing hypothesis-based testing and validation methods.
2. Design Practice and Thinking: Collaborate with design leadership to shape the product design vision, ensure high-quality execution, conduct research, define problems, create design frameworks, explore innovative interactions, develop phased approaches, build prototypes, and work closely with other designers. Focus on accessibility and detailed interface design.
3. Design Research and Testing: Identify research opportunities, plan and conduct user research and testing to understand customer needs and synthesize data.
4. Relationship Management: Influence and support fellow designers, contribute to strategic initiatives, facilitate workshops, collaborate across teams, and work with development teams during sprints to ensure design quality and resolve issues.
What you'll bring with you
* Experience in growth and experimentation design, including behavioral design techniques, a data-informed approach, and hypothesis testing with rapid iteration.
* Experience designing products focused on user acquisition and conversion optimization.
* Experience iterating on products based on usage data, feedback, and strategic evolution.
* A portfolio demonstrating high-quality design outcomes that contribute to user experience and business value.
* Proficiency across the entire design process, with mastery in creating elegant interfaces.
