Additionally, the ECU Art Collection, valued at approximately $15 million, stands as a treasured asset, demanding enhanced resourcing and care.

An exciting opportunity exists within ECU's Art, Culture and Collections team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive person to join us as the Cultural Coordinator. The position of Cultural Coordinator will work closely with First Nations stakeholders and communities on projects and programming, as well as with ECU staff across all schools and divisions to develop and roll out the Cultural Narrative action plan for the university. The Coordinator will ensure that protocols for representation, procurement, digital and media architecture, social media, and engagement are ethical and follow best‐practice guidelines. This unique centralised position will alleviate the burden on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff who often work outside their role remits to address questions related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

  • Working with ECU Schools, Divisions and First Nations stakeholders and communities – both internal and external – on projects and programming
  • Developing and rolling out the Cultural Narrative action plan for the university
  • Ensuring ethical protocols for representation, procurement, digital and media architecture framework, social media, and engagement both internally and externally

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full‐time fixed‐term position attracts remuneration of $100,512 to $112,622 plus 17% University superannuation contribution. ECU supports a work/life balance for staff.
