SMYL Community Services, a not-for profit charitable organisation, has worked for nearly 40 years to improve the social, political and economic inclusion of all members of a community through the provision of education, training and employment services.
SMYL delivers a range of community service programs that support the development of knowledge, vocational skills and capacity in individuals to enable a successful transition to work.
SEE Trainers deliver language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills through engaging students in a range of accredited and non-accredited training programs. We are looking for a teacher/trainer to deliver courses in General Education for Adults.
If you are an experienced trainer who is passionate about delivering engaging training to adult learners, we are keen to meet with you.
Essential criteria:
* Proven ability to develop, design and implement individual learning programs and assessment strategies and materials.
* Experience in LLND (language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills) focused delivery
* Experience delivering face to face training with a rolling intake
* Current working knowledge of RTO Standards
* A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment including TAELLN114 & TAEDES502 units (or willingness to attain)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Well-developed digital literacy skills
Desirable criteria:
* Experience in delivering CGEA (Certificate in General Education for Adults)
* Certificates in Community Services, Business, Retail, Leadership
* A recognised undergraduate degree of at least 3 years duration
