The position:
The aim of the Surgical Reform project is to return hospital services to pre-pandemic surgery activity and reform the elective surgery system for lasting change. In this role you will work as a part of the collective Delivery and Innovation Team in partnership with the members of the Gippsland Health Service Partnership. The team will work together to identify, drive and implement reform, with individual project officers also providing on the ground support to facilitate the successful implementation at a health service level. The contract is fixed term role until 30th June 2024 and a secondment arrangement will be considered

Key requirements:
7. Comprehensive understanding of surgical referral and access pathways, pre-operative assessment processes and peri-operative patient flow
8. Knowledge and experience in continuous quality improvement and change management
9. A commitment to customer service and a strong patient-centred approach
10. Well-developed interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and liaison skills
