Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team.
This role works closely with our Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist to support residents' wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
The successful candidate will provide and coordinate therapeutic care and activity programs for residents in line with our mission, vision, and values, the Aged Care Quality Standards, and all relevant legislation.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver therapeutic activities, exercise programs, and individual sessions based on resident Care Plans under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist.
* Assist with strengthening, range-of-motion, and ambulation exercises.
* Facilitate meaningful activity programs that promote quality of life, independence, and engagement.
* Maintain accurate documentation, records, and statistics, including electronic notes.
* Promote a positive work environment and provide support to new staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Certificate IV in Assistive Technology or a related field.
* Relevant experience working in an aged care setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
