Our client is a global blue-chip organisation with regional headquarters in central Melbourne. Due to continued growth in a key business unit, an opportunity for a supply chain planning professional to lead the forecasting and supply planning function for that BU has arisen.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager in this individual contributor-level role, the Supply Chain Planner is responsible for ensuring that inventory availability meets future customer demand for a critical, time sensitive category of products. Key accountability includes:
Duties
Demand analytics and the generation of a rolling demand plan for a category of seasonal and time-sensitive products sold through both B2B and B2C channels.
The generation of a robust and corresponding supply chain plan to meet forecasted demand, including all checks and balances, supply chain risk mitigation etc.
Ensuring inventory availability for a large and diverse customer base while keeping inventory holdings in line with broader company policy.
Maintaining inventory integrity across the network through cross functional communication and thorough analysis.
Optimising stock turns while minimising existing slow moving and obsolete lines (SLOB)
Required Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience managing a category from a supply chain planning perspective, in a fast paced, complex distribution environment.
Proven demand and supply analytics or planning experience, ideally in a SAP environment.
Tertiary qualifications in a related field such as Transport & Logistics Management.
