Casual Opportunity - Admissions Booking Officer at SALHN Join SA Health as a Casual Admissions Booking Officer at Flinders Medical Centre, where you will coordinate patient admissions and manage booking systems in a supportive healthcare environment.

About the role: Reporting to the Manager, this role is responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient reception and data entry service within the Admissions Office service at Flinders medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital and Flinders Private Hospital.
Duties for the role will include: Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers, Interacting with patients both face to face and by telephone regarding all aspects of the admission process, Using effective communication skills and knowledge of a range of hospital policies and procedures to ensure all relevant hospital systems are accurately maintained, Accurately maintain the Department of Health Waiting List and relevant coding utilising the relevant checklist, Accurately processing request for admission cards and allocating admission to Wards and theatres, Booking patients onto relevant computer systems to facilitate their admission, Providing on the job training to new staff members and orientation to various departments with the hospital, Attending and contributing to regular staff meetings Abou t you: Ability to manage daily correspondence and provide accurate and timely data entry and work processing services, Ability to liaise with the ward staff and bed manager regarding the allocation of beds for patient admissions, Ability to work effectively in a multi D team, Proven ability to recognise and discreetly deal with confidential matters, Proven ability to meet strategic deadlines, Diplomatic skills with appropriate and sensitive issues, Demonstrated experience with working collaboratively and effectively with peers, staff and stakeholders in order to deliver quality and timely communications and services, Experience with responding to telephone and frontline enquiries and respectfully interacting with people from all diverse backgrounds and experiences, Demonstrated experience with integrity at a high level Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
