Our client, a successful local company specialising in the management of development and construction projects, is recruiting a talented Project Manager / Superintendent to join their team in Darwin.
Your new role
As a Project Manager / Superintendent, you will lead the full project lifecycle of land development and Civil infrastructure projects in the Northern Territory. Your role will involve the oversight of the project design, scoping, planning and execution, as well as client liaison and stakeholder management. This is a full-time role located in Darwin, with regular travel to site required.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Client liaison and project stakeholder management.
Understand the project requirements, scope, contract, and budgets, and ensure adherence to industry legislation and standards.
Implement and oversee projects' work programs.
Monitor and report on project progress, including on cost, time, and quality.
Manage the projects' contracts, process and negotiate projects' variations.
Manage project documentation and liaise with relevant authorities to obtain required permits and approvals.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have:
Qualifications in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
Demonstrated experience in Site or Project Engineering, Project Management or Project Coordination for Civil infrastructure projects in Australia.
Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Procore (desirable).
