Job Opportunity: Kitchen Team Member
The role of a kitchen team member is pivotal in maintaining cleanliness, preparing ingredients, and supporting chefs during service.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas, preparation, and storage spaces;
* Operate dishwashing machines and follow deep-cleaning schedules and proper waste disposal procedures;
* Assist with receiving, sorting, and storing stock, ensuring timely availability for meals;
* Evaluate equipment for cleanliness, sanitation, and proper maintenance, reporting any issues to management;
* Help prepare ingredients and staff meals as directed by senior staff members;
* Support chefs during service, adhering to hygiene and safety standards at all times;
Essential Qualifications
* Trade qualification in food handling or related field;
* Previous experience working in a hotel or restaurant environment at a supervisory level, with knowledge of kitchen operations;
* Relevant knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety guidelines;
This is a physically demanding role requiring stamina, energy, and resilience. Candidates must be comfortable with standing for long periods, lifting equipment, and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. A valid driver's license is mandatory.
