About the role
We have anexciting opportunity for a Lawyer/Associate to join ourwell-regarded Government Advisory team. Working alongside PartnersMark Henry and Angela Barac and the wider team, this role willfocus on providing merits review for a Commonwealth Governmentagency
This is aunique opportunity to join a collaborative team and haveresponsibility for your own matters. Day to day you will have thefollowing responsibilities:
* Drafting summaries ofevidence and statements of issues.
* Assisting andattending case conferences and hearings.
* Drafting litigationstrategies.
* Complex statutoryinterpretation.
About you
In order tobe considered for this role, you will have the following skills andexperience:
* Approximately 1-3years post qualification experience, ideally with experience ingovernment advisory work, and have a strong interest inadministrative law and statutory interpretation.
* Youmay have a background of working in government and be keen tomake your first move into a law firm. Alternatively, you willbe doing similar work in another firm and looking for a newopportunity.
* Youwill have strong drafting skills, excellent communicationskills and a collegiate approach.
