About This Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled estimator to join our team in Shepparton. As a detail-driven professional, you will be responsible for preparing accurate tenders, quotes, and cost plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing detailed estimates, cost plans, and take-offs for residential and commercial construction projects.
* Interpreting plans, engineering drawings, and scopes of work.
* Breaking down labour, materials, subcontractor, and equipment costs.
* Preparing and submitting competitive tenders.
* Reviewing and negotiating supplier and subcontractor pricing.
* Attending site inspections when required.
* Supporting cost control, budgets, and value engineering.
Requirements
* 3–5+ years of estimating experience in construction (insurance building experience highly regarded).
* Strong knowledge of building materials, methods, and pricing.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering documentation.
* Experience using estimating software such as Buildxact, Cubit, Tradify, or similar, plus strong MS Office skills.
* Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple estimates at once.
