Senior Manager Technology Resilience – Full time, Permanent

Your business:
The Group Security Operational Resilience teams help the bank maintain our critical operations in the face of severe cyber disruptions, to continue serving our customers and protecting them and the bank theft, losses, and risk events.

You will join a growing team that develops strategic plans and guides the organisation in recovery from a major cyber incident. You will be responsible for ensuring that detailed technical rebuild and recovery plans and processes developed by technology are complete, accurate, tested, communicated, and approved across recovery stakeholders.
You will work with Group Technology and Business Units to ensure there are effective rebuild and recovery strategies are in place in the event of a major incident and help strengthen the organisational-wide belief that everyone is accountable for operational resilience and cyber security.
Do Work that matters:
As the Manager Technology Resilience, you join the Operational Resilience Program, a part of wider Group Security. In this role you will be the vital link between Global Technology teams and the Technical Project Manager to help develop technical rebuild and recovery plans and processes for major cyber incidents.
You will enhance the Commonwealth Bank's cyber resilience to ensure the Group can recover from major cyber-driven attacks. By joining one of Australia's largest technology and cyber security practices, you will work with cutting-edge technology and guide large-enterprise initiative rollouts across Commonwealth Bank's future major incident recovery plans.
This also includes:
* Providing subject matter support to Global Technology as they develop detailed technical rebuild and recovery plans for cyber scenarios
* Performing QA reviews of the work of teams across IT Services, Solution Engineering, Database Operations, Networking and Development teams
* Giving technical advice and supporting the development and execution of bare metal cyber rebuild tests
* Help to improve delivery effectiveness by identifying common rebuild and recovery patterns and procedures to build out a library
* Working closely with the Service Continuity Management and Business teams to validate and enhance the mechanisms needed to recover from a major cyber incident
We are interested in people who:
Have deep architecture and engineering experience in the financial services sector, specialising in application, infrastructure, and service management, who want to develop their career on ground-breaking work that spans the business, technology, security and executive leadership.
Through your expertise and past experiences, you will:
* Have helped to design, build, manage and / or migrate infrastructure, critical applications, and databases, preferably within the financial services sector or other large organisations.
* Be aware of or have supported cloud migration, network management, datacentre, business continuity, virtualisation, IaaS and storage projects.
* Have designed, built, managed and / or migrated critical applications that are hosted on Linux, Mainframe and Oracle infrastructure.
* Be able to oversee or engage in development, implementation, and operations of technical solutions.
* Have worked with cutting edge technologies from large market players, including AWS, HP, Dell EMC, VMware, Cyber Ark, RSA.
* Be able to collaborate across technology domains/platforms to elevate deployable patterns, platforms, and tools for enterprise use.
* Have CPS 230, tech risk, resilience and / or general cyber security controls experience.
* A passion for cyber security and being part of a rapidly developing, exciting and critical function within the Group.
* Has excellent stakeholder management experience and are self-driven.
