The Menzies Viral Hepatitis Program is seeking a Project Assistant to provide administrative and project support across the program.

The Menzies Viral Hepatitis Program addresses the National Hepatitis B and C Strategies through innovative, community-based research to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Northern Territory and across northern Australia.

The aim of the program is to build strong partnerships to implement a culturally appropriate, holistic model of care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living with viral hepatitis. The program delivers evidence-based interventions shown to improve the cascade of care and health outcomes for people affected by viral hepatitis.

The Role

The Project Assistant will support the successful delivery of projects within the Viral Hepatitis Program. This includes providing administrative support such as arranging travel bookings, assisting with the preparation of annual reports, and maintaining office systems and processes.

The role also involves travel to remote communities across the Northern Territory and northern Australia to assist Project Coordinators with participant recruitment and on-the-ground research activities.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

About You

You are a motivated individual with experience working with First Nations communities and organisations. You bring strong engagement skills, leadership, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

You Also Have
* A relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
* Proven experience in an administrative role (including organising meetings, preparing reports, and managing information).
* Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new skills as required.

The Benefits
* Base Salary $81,837 - $88,613 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $103,410 - $111,212 per annum, pro-rata).
* Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
* Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum and $2,650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
