Senior Finance Manager – Built Environment (Part-Time)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our business in a newly created role. This is a part-time position based on the Gold Coast and will work closely with the Managing Director to provide high-level financial oversight, planning, and commercial support across the business.
This role is suited to a senior finance professional from the construction or civil sector who understands the commercial realities of project-based environments and can operate as a trusted advisor at leadership level.
The Role
Working directly with the Managing Director, you will be responsible for providing accurate financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making. You will also work closely with project teams to ensure strong financial control across live projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting at business and project level
* Cash flow management and financial modelling
* Project financial oversight, including cost control, margin tracking, and reporting
* Providing clear, commercial financial advice to the Managing Director
* Supporting business strategy through accurate financial insight
* Liaising with external accountants, auditors, and advisors as required
* Reviewing and improving financial systems, processes, and reporting frameworks
About You
* Proven experience in a senior finance role within the construction or civil sector
* Strong understanding of project-based financial management
* Comfortable working closely with senior leadership and influencing decisions
* Highly analytical with the ability to translate numbers into commercial insight
* Detail-focused, reliable, and trusted
* Experience supporting growing or evolving businesses will be highly regarded
