The ideal candidate brings strong technical acumen, strategic oversight, and hands-on leadership across cost control, scheduling, risk, procurement strategy, and contract administration.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & GovernanceProvide strategic leadership across the Project Controls and Procurement & Contracts teams.Establish and uphold governance frameworks and best practices to support major project execution.Align project services functions with broader project delivery strategies and business objectives.Project ControlsOversee cost estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes.Ensure accurate and timely project reporting, schedule development, and risk analysis.Monitor performance metrics and recommend corrective actions as needed.Procurement & ContractsLead procurement planning and execution for major project packages.Oversee development, negotiation, and administration of contracts and subcontracts.Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with procurement policies and project requirements.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate closely with Project Directors, Engineering, Legal, and Finance teams.Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on project services matters.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Ideally you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline, combined with a minimum 10 years of experience in project services leadership roles, ideally on major infrastructure, mining, or energy projects.You would display a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across project controls, procurement, and contracts. Displaying an in-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, commercial frameworks, and procurement strategies.Naturally strong financial and risk management acumen with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills is a prerequisite.Applicants are preferred from within a Tier 1 or large-scale project environment, displaying a familiarity with software tools such as Primavera P6, SAP, or similar.
