Key Responsibilities:
* Facilitates the assignment of tasks and work areas to Service Department employees based on their skills and expertise.
* Aids in evaluating incoming repair orders and may engage in hands-on repairs.
* Reviews repair orders for accuracy and completeness.
* Communicates all customer complaints to the Service Manager or Service Location Manager.
* Organizes and schedules in-house training for technicians in collaboration with the Service Manager, as well as coordinate and conduct quarterly safety meetings.
* Coordinate and assist in the reconditioning of used equipment and the setup of new equipment.
* May authorize the release of equipment for customer delivery.
* Assist with performance appraisal feedback and participate in the selection and onboarding process for new team members.
* Step in for the Service Manager when required.
* Other duties as assigned.
About You:
The ideal candidate possesses strong time management skills, a desire to excel, and excellent communication abilities. This role is perfect for a technician seeking to enhance their skills or an experienced manager looking for a fresh opportunity.
* 3+ years of experience as a Service Technician.
* Strong leadership skills and familiarity with John Deere products.
* Effective communication abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
A forklift license is preferred.
