Queensland Cotton Corporation has been a leading provider of high-quality cotton to the world's textile markets for over 100 years. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer Technician to join our busy Cotton Ginning operations located in Wee Waa, NSW.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
1. Mechanical trade qualification and certificate: Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and repair is essential for this role. You will be responsible for performing gin checks, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and carrying out necessary repairs and maintenance per the agreed schedule.
2. Minimum 2 years relevant work experience: Ideally, you will have previous maintenance and mechanical experience in a similar environment. Your ability to manage a diverse team or shift in a remote or isolated environment will be highly valued.
3. Previous maintenance and mechanical experience: You will need to have a strong understanding of hydraulic systems and knowledge of Australia's work Health and Safety requirements.
4. Exposure to managing a diverse team or shift: Your ability to interact with people from diverse cultures and communicate effectively as part of a team will be highly valued.
5. Reasonable computer skills: You will need to have high levels of literacy to understand safety instructions and good communication skills to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Fitness to manage long shifts: You will need to be physically fit to manage long shifts during the season.
7. Great work ethic: A great work ethic, eagerness to learn, and ability to think on your feet to troubleshoot will be highly valued.
8. Valid driver license: A valid driver license is also required for this role.

We offer a competitive annual salary package of $85,000 - $95,000 annually.
