We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join our team on a full-time basis. The role will be crucial in explaining the intricate craftsmanship and unique qualities of our extensive product offerings. This will involve specialising in our diverse range, from exclusive brands to bespoke creations and bridal collections, providing personalized consultations that align with customer preferences and cultural backgrounds.
Critical duties and responsibilities for this position include:
* Developing expertise in Malabar Gold & Diamonds' jewellery products, including materials, designs, craftsmanship, and unique features;
* Demonstrating products to customers, highlighting technical specifications, quality standards, and benefits;
* Engaging with customers to understand their jewellery preferences, occasions, and budget considerations;
* Providing expert advice and personalized recommendations to assist customers in selecting suitable jewellery pieces;
* Assisting customers throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry to after-sales support;
* Handling customer objections effectively and closing sales by emphasising product strengths and value propositions;
* Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement or new offerings;
* Providing insights and recommendations to management based on market intelligence and customer interactions;
* Conducting training sessions for sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards;
* Mentoring and supporting colleagues to enhance their skills in jewellery sales and technical expertise;
* Participating in promotional events, exhibitions, and marketing campaigns to promote Malabar Gold & Diamonds' products;
* Collaborating with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and strategies that highlight technical aspects and unique selling points of jewellery products;
* Ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all sales and customer interactions;
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business;
* Following up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
A successful candidate will possess at least 10 years of experience as a Technical Sales Representative, or in a similar role, with qualifications such as a bachelor's degree. Expertise in jewellery materials, designs, and craftsmanship is essential. Clear communication of technical details and customer interactions is critical. Meeting customer needs and building relationships is paramount. Offering personalised advice based on customer preferences is vital. Maintaining high ethical standards in all interactions is mandatory.
