Australian Naval Infrastructure
Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) was established by the Government of Australia to support the Commonwealth's continuous naval shipbuilding program by being the owner, developer and manager of infrastructure and related facilities at the Osborne Naval Shipyard.
ANI is responsible for the design and construction of the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY), one of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects undertaken in Australia's history, to support the build of nuclear-powered submarines under the AUKUS program.
The Payroll Manager will report to and support the Financial Controller in undertaking payroll activities and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include:
* overseeing the end to end fortnightly payroll function, executing the pay run and, when required, processing payroll adjustments;
* preparing payroll submissions for the ATO, submitting statutory returns for payroll tax and workers' compensation and overseeing all ReturnToWorkSA claims;
* completing superannuation payments and reconciliations;
* reconciling novated lease data and submitting fortnightly reports;
* posting and reconciling leave liability;
* completing the payroll end of month closure and, in conjunction with the Financial Controller, reconciling payroll to the general ledger;
* working closely with the Financial Controller, and other departments, to enhance the payroll function offering;
* resolving employee related payroll queries and other ad hoc payroll tasks.
Applications are encouraged from experienced payroll professionals with proven ability to operate successfully within a finance team. Also important will be strong financial analytical skills, creative problem solving abilities, a positive, proactive and innovative approach and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to confidently provide well considered support and advice to senior executives and managers will be essential. Experience using the TechnologyOne finance system would be an advantage. Interested applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain the security clearances required for a Defence related facility (NV1).
This position can be offered either Part time at 0.8 FTE (60 hours, per fortnight) or Full time (75 hours, 9-day fortnight).
