THE ROLE
This is a true "end to end" engineering role. You're not just sitting behind a screen; you are the bridge between the design office and the mine site. With the first semi-automated drill arriving soon, you will be the lead on the ground for commissioning in not long after.
* Taking the lead on the first wave of semi-automated drills as they hit the Australian market.
* Working closely with specialist software partners to integrate cutting edge code with custom hardware.
* Working on electrical and control drawings in the office/workshop to ensure "Australian Standard" excellence.
* Providing critical on site troubleshooting and backup support when major issues arise.
* Helping transform base machines into specialised, high spec masterpieces for the local market.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a rare breed: someone with a University Degree in Engineering who hasn't forgotten how to use a wrench. You might be a "country guy from the bush" or simply someone who thrives in a workshop environment and doesn't mind getting your boots dirty on a mine site.
* A relevant degree in Control Systems, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
* A genuine passion for troubleshooting in the field and working on heavy machinery.
* Currently based in (or willing to relocate to) Western Australia to support the initial market rollout.
* The ability to work without a manual. You are proactive, curious, and ready to solve puzzles in real time.
* You're equally comfortable discussing logic with software developers as you are talking shop with site based operators.
