This national retail-based company, which is the leader in their field is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their high-performing payroll team on a full-time permanent basis. The role will be based in their Brisbane offices which are located on the Northside and offer onsite car parking.
Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
* Employee file maintenance
* Fortnightly end to end payroll processing
* Processing holiday / sick pay
* Award interpretation
* Handling payroll queries via phone and email
* Payroll reporting and reconciliations
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
* Previous payroll experience within a medium to larger sized company
* Previous experience with award interpretation
* Ability to work in a high-volume environment
* Excellent communication skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Experience working on large payroll systems such as Chris21 / Aurion
