Talent International are currently recruiting for **APS 6 Finance Modellers's and EL1 Finance Modeller's** to work for one of our **Federal Government clients** based in Richmond or Geelong. These positions are **12 month contract roles** with a high possibility of being extended**.** They have multiple exciting opportunities for Finance Officers with strong Financial Modelling experience, **CA or CPA qualifications** to join the Financial Controls Branch within the office of the CFO.
**About The Role**
The team is responsible for the financial management of the Agency and core business, audited annual statements, the Annual Report, costings, reporting and forecasting, and budget estimates.
We have multiple opportunities at Executive Level 1, Assistant Director and APS6 level. The equivalent salary on offer (on either a **day** **($585/day + superannuation - EL1**) or **hourly** rate basis (**58.50/hour + superannuation - APS 6**) $110,000 to $152,500 including superannuation per annum.

**The Roles**
**_EL1 - Assistant Director Finance Officer (Financial Modelling)_**
- Work with stakeholders across the Agency to define financial modelling requirements
- Drive the development and maintenance of financial models for the CFO Group and various Branches
- Provide assurance of financial models, assumptions, outputs
- Develop presentations to ELT and Senior Leadership including conclusions, risks
- Mentoring and leadership of a small team of Finance Officers
- Provide training to end users
**_ APS6 - Finance Officer (Financial Modelling)_**
- Analyse, develop and interpret statistical and financial models
- Develop financial reports and assist with government submissions
- Assist in development of presentations and insights
- Assist in delivering training on financial models to business areas
**Essential Requirements In order to be successful in this role you will have**:
- Tertiary accounting qualifications including a CA, CPA or IPA qualifications and membership (CA or CPA is mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience in similar mid to senior finance roles within heavily regulated environments - any government or public sector experience nice to have
- Direct experience delivering complex financial governance outcomes
- Complex financial modelling expertise
- Advanced Excel and Power Queries
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with senior stakeholders
- Excellent time management, planning and efficiency
