About the role
The Health Information Manager Trainee will provide administrative support to the release of information process in accordance with relevant legislation and policy. The Health Information Manager Trainee will also provide administrative support in the uploading of clinical images to the ieMR by ensuring digital images are available and are of a high standard to support patient care and the clinical workforce.
About you
- Attention to detail with the ability to produce correspondence to a high standard whilst working in a busy work environment with time constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workloads whilst managing in an unsupervised work environment at large, working autonomously and proficiently.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, including problem-solving ability and the provision of high level support, with respect to teamwork and communication with staff, government agencies and members of the public.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathology and the ability to extract and interpret pertinent information from patient medical records and hospital information systems.
- Proven ability to be an effective and flexible team member with a demonstrated ability to function effectively and harmoniously with the staff and public in a changing work environment.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 12/21 and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of enrolment in a Health Information Management degree.
