Event Production Manager
Brightside Live is a leading corporate and sporting audiovisual production company in Australia, delivering exceptional events with creative vision and technical expertise.
The Role
Lead end-to-end production for various events, overseeing planning, logistics, and on-site execution to ensure flawless audio, video, lighting, and staging.
This hands-on leadership role combines production management, technical knowledge, and client communication, working closely with project managers, account managers, venues, and crew.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and execute live productions.
* Design and oversee technical setups including audio, video, lighting, and staging systems.
* Prepare production schedules and technical documentation.
* Coordinate with venue technical teams and suppliers.
* Mentor and support technical crew, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Technical Expertise
* Audio systems: digital mixing consoles, wireless mic systems, PA design, and deployment.
* Video systems: vision switchers, projection mapping, signal routing, and playback systems.
* LED screen systems: setup and operation of modular LED displays, proficiency with LED processing and control.
* Lighting systems: DMX lighting control, LED and moving head fixtures, dimming systems, and basic rigging principles.
* Staging and rigging: understanding of truss systems, rigging safety, and venue-specific load restrictions.
* Networking and control: AV-over-IP systems, network configuration for streaming/hybrid events, and show control integration.
Requirements
A strong passion for the arts, along with excellent leadership skills, ability to work under pressure, and high attention to detail.
Familiarity with event production, as well as strong technical knowledge of sound and lighting equipment.
Degree or diploma in Event Management, Audio Engineering, Lighting Technology, or related field.
