**About The Person**
In this newly created role, we are looking for a professional, flexible and adaptable manager to oversee the flooring and commercial warehouse and trade store based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. The person will be a team player, possessing strong administrative skills, an ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise activities with a systematic approach.
**The Opportunity**
- Overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse including stock management, receiving and dispatch of goods, plant and equipment management and preparation of materials
- Overseeing the daily operations of the trade store including in store customer service, answering incoming calls, taking orders and general office administration of the trade counter and store
- Assist in motivating the team with clear communication
- Manage procurement and price negotiation of trade products from major suppliers
- Increasing the trade database by attracting new customers
- Help in the continuous improvement of administration procedures and systems to enable accurate tracking and delivery of materials
- Management of the Warehouse including management of trade counter and warehouse staff, upkeep, organisation of transport for good dispatch and assistance when required
- Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures, and systems
- Receipting & Dispatching of materials within ERP System
- Liaising with site supervisors, contract administrators, estimators, and subcontractors
- Co-ordinating the processing of materials and the delivery of finished goods to site in accordance with project requirements
- Ensure that store staff adhere to the required Occupational Health and Safety requirements

- Experience with warehousing and logistics
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great communication and influencing skills
- Ability to perform will under pressure with strong organisational skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Care and attention to detail
**Relevant Qualifications / Licences**
- Forklift Licence
- First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- HR Licence (preferred)
- WHS Certificate or Training completed (preferred)
- Construction industry experience is an advantage but not essential
