About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Electrical technician to join our service team. The successful applicant must hold a recognized Australian trade certificate.

The role involves undertaking scheduled service and reactive maintenance on wind turbines, as well as maintaining company vehicles and equipment. The technician will work in a small team environment based on site at Collgar Wind Farm, reporting to the site supervisor.

The 8:6 roster provides a mix of regular working hours and shift work, ensuring that our technicians are available to respond to any issues that may arise. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to develop their skills and experience in the renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities

* Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance on wind turbines as required* Maintain all company vehicles and equipment in good condition* Respond to site calls outside normal working hours to undertake reactive maintenance* Ensure that each task is undertaken in a manner that ensures the safety of personnel, protects the environment, and adheres to work methods* Participate in safety meetings and follow all work instructions and procedures* Wear personal protective equipment as required* All other duties within competence, skill, qualifications, and experience as directed

Qualifications and Skills

* Electrical Trade Certificate* Full clean driving license* Literate with PC and modern technologies* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings* Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems* Motivation to learn new skills and thrive in a growing industry* Understanding of safety principles and willingness to adhere to and drive safety compliance* Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in a residential, commercial, or industrial environment* Proficient in the use of various hand tools* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small team* Ability to work at heights in confined environments
