The Role
Australian Weighing Equipment is looking for an experienced, industry-specific Business Development Manager to join our dynamic sales team based at Underwood QLD. As a leader in weighing systems, bulk material handling equipment and packaging machinery, you will utilise your industry experience to drive growth.
Your responsibilities include:
* Build and develop strategic relationships with new potential customers to reach specific KPIs.
* Develop a strong client base for future business opportunities to reach KPIs.
* Apply competitor analysis to understand the market and identify opportunities and gaps.
* Report to a National Business Development Manager and receive direction.
* Ascertain customer needs by visiting customer premises and assess/analyse requirements.
* Maintain the Company image to professional standards at all times.
* Demonstrate understanding of all products and services and effectively promote them to maximise market opportunities.
* Promote the Company Code of Conduct by modelling integrity, honesty and professionalism.
* Foster synergy between service departments including personnel, engineering, technical and administration.
* Identify and control company expenses within reasonable parameters.
* Prioritise safety and wellbeing of all stakeholders in line with internal and external requirements.
* Ensure sales kits and company sales aids are complete and maintained.
Salary
Salary is negotiable and will be dependent upon experience.
The Candidate
To be considered, the ideal candidate will possess:
* Sales experience with weighing industry or engineering background; motivated to develop relationships and grow new business.
* Technical knowledge to propose suitable solutions.
* Permanent working rights in Australia.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
* Valid Australian driver's licence.
* Understanding of KPIs and confidence in achieving targets.
* Ability to work as a team player and to self-manage.
Highly Desirable Skills
* Calibration / Instrumentation knowledge.
* Hubspot knowledge.
* Pronto knowledge.
