The Role
MSF Sugar is currently inviting applications for the position of Maintenance Planner to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This exciting opportunity is based at our Tableland Mill in Arriga.
As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a key role in managing the planning and scheduling of mill maintenance activities to ensure smooth, efficient operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will work closely with maintenance and operations teams to coordinate resources, manage work schedules, and support continuous improvement across the mill.
While mechanical knowledge is preferred, this role also welcomes candidates with strong computer skills who are eager to learn and grow in maintenance planning.
The Responsibilities
* Champion the work management process to ensure effective maintenance delivery
* Lead the planning function including task scoping, labour allocation, and material purchasing
* Develop and manage crush season, maintenance day, and maintenance season schedules
* Set clear processes to measure and report the effectiveness of planning and scheduling
* Own the master data process and maintain accurate maintenance records
* Schedule capital tasks to manage interaction issues between maintenance activities
* Analyse maintenance data to identify trends and support decision-making
* Facilitate clear communication between teams to coordinate maintenance efforts effectively
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proficient in CMMS and SAP systems
* Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accurate data entry
* Able to work autonomously as well as within a small team environment
* Demonstrated strong communication skills to liaise effectively between teams
* Mechanical knowledge preferred but not essential – willingness to learn is key
* Experience in analysing data and maintaining detailed maintenance records
