Hotel Maintenance Position
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyperson to join our team. As a key member of our hotel's maintenance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities will include:
* Performing routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
* Supporting the engineering team with plumbing, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems tasks.
* Responding to maintenance requests from staff or guests in a timely and professional manner.
* Carrying out regular inspections of hotel facilities and reporting any issues to the engineering team.
* Maintaining tools, equipment, and supplies in good working order.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Practical experience in general maintenance or repair work; hospitality experience is an advantage but not required.
* The ability to work on various tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, or mechanical work.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new skills.
* A safe and responsible attitude, with the ability to work under guidance from the engineering team.
* Flexibility to work AM and PM shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and effective communication with colleagues.
