About the Role
As a Maintenance Planner at the Cowal Gold Operation, you will play a critical role in converting asset management strategies into executable maintenance plans that support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Reporting to the Supervisor Planning, this role works closely with reliability, maintenance execution, mining and processing teams to ensure work is properly prioritised, resourced, and ready for execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain weekly and daily maintenance plans and schedules using Pronto CMMS
* Translate approved maintenance strategies and asset priorities into executable work plans
* Integrate operational constraints, labour availability, and the Major Events Calendar into short‐term planning
* Apply risk based prioritisation to balance preventive, corrective, and emergent work
* Ensure work readiness, including scope clarity, permits, isolations, parts, and tooling
* Support schedule execution and manage emergent work and short‐term changes
* Maintain high quality planning data to support reporting, backlog management, and decision making
* Collaborate with reliability and asset management functions to drive continuous improvement
This is a high impact role with strong exposure to shutdowns, major events, and asset performance outcomes, offering an opportunity to influence safety, risk, and production continuity at a long life operation.
About You
You are a structured, detail oriented maintenance professional with strong planning capability and a proactive, risk based mindset. You enjoy working across disciplines and engaging with stakeholders to solve problems, improve work quality, and lift asset performance.
Qualifications and Experience
* A trade or technical qualification in a relevant discipline (mandatory)
* 3 – 5 years experience in maintenance planning, reliability, or maintenance roles within mining or heavy industry
* Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems, ideally Pronto (SAP or Maximo also considered)
* A solid understanding of maintenance planning principles, work readiness, and scheduling
* The ability to prioritise work using asset criticality, safety risk, and production impact
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance reporting tools
* A continuous improvement mindset aligned to safety, excellence, accountability, and respect
