Community Outreach Coordinator Role
The role of Community Outreach Coordinator is pivotal in enhancing community engagement within the Next Steps program. This individual will be responsible for facilitating and developing strategies to boost help-seeking and referrals, while collaborating with stakeholders across Illawarra Shoalhaven.
This position involves leading outreach activities, establishing relationships, creating supportive environments, and promoting service awareness in local communities. To succeed, you must hold a certificate IV in social work, community development, or a related field, have experience coordinating community outreach, and possess a deep understanding of the challenges faced by people with mental health or suicidal distress and older people in the community.
You will also need strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in computer applications and online communication tools. A key aspect of this role is the ability to build connections and foster partnerships that drive positive change in the community.
About the Position
