Regional Mental Health Professionals Sought
We are seeking experienced mental health professionals to join our team in a regional community setting. The successful candidates will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing acute mental health assessments, risk evaluations, and intervention planning.
About the Roles
There are two unique opportunities available: Acute Adult Mental Health and Child & Adolescent Mental Health. Both positions require professionals with expertise in acute mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and risk management.
* Acute Adult Mental Health:
o Provide comprehensive psychiatric and consultant liaison nursing services in a community setting.
o Support individuals experiencing severe mental health crises, ensuring appropriate care pathways.
o Deliver education and training sessions to enhance service capability.
* Child & Adolescent Mental Health:
o Conduct thorough mental health assessments and case management for children and adolescents with severe and enduring mental illness.
o Develop and implement evidence-based intervention plans.
o Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other health professionals to provide holistic care.
Requirements and Skills
The ideal candidates will possess:
* Registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA) with experience in mental health nursing.
* Expertise in acute mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and risk management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a regional multidisciplinary team.
* Cultural awareness and experience working with diverse communities.
* National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check & Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).
