Job Description
We are seeking professionals with a background in psychology or rehabilitation counselling to work in our occupational rehabilitation team in Port Macquarie, NSW.
This is a flexible, autonomous role backed by strong support from a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and a global corporate infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Case management, supported by Rehabilitation Assistants to reduce administrative workload
Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes
Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs in collaboration with employers and employees
Collaborate with injured workers, employers and allied health professionals across a wide range of schemes (workers' compensation, compulsory third-party, life insurance, Comcare, DVA, etc.)
Assist clients in achieving return-to-health and return-to-work goals
Conduct initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or motor-vehicle accidents
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling
General or provisional registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, or eligibility for associate/full membership with ASORC
Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded
Excellent communication skills, compassion, empathy, and time-management abilities
A current NSW Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle with comprehensive insurance
