You will be responsible for delivering specialised clinical mental health practice through the provision of short term co-ordinated service, assessment and/or intervention to older persons who suffer from a mental health disorder, or a disorder related to aging complicated by a pre-existing mental disorder. We are committed to caring, skilled and dedicated staff, building partnerships that deliver internationally recognised education and research, providing equitable, integrated and sustainable services, and engaging with our community to understand its diverse needs.
About you:
In your new role you will…
* Deliver clinical services within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive consultation and liaison mental health services to consumers of Mental Health and/or aged care services.
* Maintain and support reporting lines, with support from the senior clinician to the Director of Allied Health to ensure delivery of clinical services within a quality improvement framework, in a multidisciplinary team across a complex and varied work environment.
* Provide clinical education and/or practice supervision pertaining to routine tasks for students and less experienced staff with the support of senior clinical staff.
* Develop and maintain collaborative work practices and relationships with other agencies (including non-government organisations), service providers and consumer and carer groups to ensure consumers have access to an integrated service system.
