About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team, responsible for managing their own section, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. The successful candidate will have strong knife skills, knowledge of different cooking techniques and be able to work effectively under pressure.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook food to the highest standard, following recipes and presentation guidelines
* Run your designated section with confidence during service
* Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked workstation (mise en place)
* Train, mentor and support junior chefs and kitchen hands
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning and cost control
* Uphold food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards (HACCP compliant)
* Monitor stock levels, reduce wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients
* Maintain and monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery OR at least 3 years' experience in a similar role
* Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety regulations
* Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills
* Calm under pressure and capable of delivering quality at volume
* Good attention to detail and commitment to excellence
