Accounts Payable Officer
3 Month Contract | Part-time - 3 days a week | Dubbo | Up to $558 / day + Super | Initial contract up till 6th of Feb ****
My client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance & Commercial Services team on a 3-month contract, based in Dubbo. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will ensure the timely, accurate, and efficient processing of vendor invoices and payments, maintain purchase card administration, and support financial system maintenance.
This is based in Dubbo and will be a part time, 3 day a week role.
Key Responsibilities
Process and pay vendor invoices accurately and within required timeframes, ensuring GST, ABN, audit, and contractual compliance.
Facilitate and reconcile weekly payment runs, monitor cash flow, and manage rejected EFTs and refunds.
Respond professionally to accounts payable enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate financial records, assist with month-end reporting, and support routine finance system upgrades including UAT participation.
Key Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable.
Strong knowledge of GST, tax legislation, and financial compliance.
Accurate data entry and attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 and SAP Concur preferred).
Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable
Prior accounts payable experience within a large organisation.
Knowledge of AP systems, policies, and chart-of-accounts structure.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
