We currently have two fixed term opportunities available up to July 2027 for specialists with agriculture experience located in our regional offices in Albany and Bunbury! About the role
WorkSafe WA plays an integral role in upholding healthy and safe workplaces in Western Australia, reducing workplace incidents to ensure workers return home safely every day. We drive workplace change through education, specialist advice and enforcement.
As a WorkSafe Inspector, you will have a vital role in ensuring that workplaces are:
* adopting appropriate risk management strategies to reduce workplace hazards that can cause multiple and repeat fatalities and serious injuries;
* working to improve the management of psychosocial hazards;
* protecting workers from health hazards such as harmful dusts;
* consulting and involving workers in designing and implementing safe systems of work; and
* complying with work health and safety laws.
With investigative skills and experience in a regulatory, safety or general industry, you will be responsible for:
* carrying out workplace inspections and taking appropriate enforcement actions when health and safety laws are breached;
* conducting investigations into workplace incidents or accidents;
* assessing any possible breaches of the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 or equivalent relevant legislation;
* gathering evidence and preparing briefs to legal, making recommendations about prosecutions and presenting evidence in court; and
* promoting and delivering work health and safety presentations, providing information to workplaces.
