Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and repairing various equipment and machinery
- Preparing drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work under the direction of Mechanical Engineers
- Conduct root cause analysis, fault‐finding and diagnosing productive solutions to machine breakdowns
- Attend to mechanical issues and troubleshoot machine/equipment breakdowns
- Install, remove, inspect and repair mechanical spare parts such as bearings and seals on typical mechanical equipment
- Undertake ongoing preventive maintenance inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and repair or report critical issues
- Perform major overhauls of equipment with or without external contractors and vendors
- Disassemble, assemble, observe, repair, test, collect data and prepare reports on equipment, as tasks related to maintenance
- Maintain non‐electrical safety, process and utility equipment
- Perform power plant rigging and lifting equipment necessary for safely handling heavy machinery and materials
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machines
- Troubleshoot process equipment and automation issues that may arise on the manufacturing line
- Ensure products meet compliance regulations
- Carry out work instructions as given by Supervisor, work specifications, equipment operation
- Support improvement projects
- Fabricate and repair metal products and parts using machine‐shop tools and equipment
- Control downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance requirements, daily equipment inspections, and monitoring machine operational performance
- Perform duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
- Install and commission new equipment as directed
- Communicate with and support engineers
- Understand customer change requests and provide schedule
- Document machine safety and maintenance
Qualifications
- Trade qualifications and +5 years proven relevant experience
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting technique and problem‐solving skills
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent attention to detail and proactive approach to maintenance tasks
- Physically fit and able to work in various conditions
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Self‐motivated, organised, punctual and reliable
- Excellent work ethics
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Between $73,150 and $80,000 per annum + Super
Job Types: Full‐time, Permanent
