Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Maternity Leave Cover (with strong potential for ongoing role)

Melbourne Theranostic Innovation Centre (MTIC)

The Melbourne Theranostic Innovation Centre (MTIC) is seeking a motivated, early-career Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for 12 month maternity leave cover with a high likelihood of a permanent position beyond this period.

MTIC combines cutting-edge molecular imaging—including Victoria's most advanced clinical PET/CT scanner, the Siemens Biograph Vision QUADRA to tackle cancers with unmet needs. In partnership with our sister company, PreMIT, we are delivering on the promise of precision medicine by advancing theranostic paradigms that enable the right treatment, for the right patient, at the right time.

We currently have a full-time position (or part-time) available.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform all duties within the scope of a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including:

* PET/CT imaging (including total-body PET with the Siemens Vision QUADRA)

* SPECT/CT imaging (service commencing early 2026)
* Radionuclide therapy procedures
* Safe preparation, handling, and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals
* Communicate effectively with patients, referrers, and the broader clinical team
* Collaborate with MTIC staff and research partners to support clinical and research initiatives

About You:

We are looking for a technologist who is:

* Qualified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (No minimum experience required)
* Adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
* Committed to exceptional patient care
* Interested in contributing to clinical research and innovation

Essential Criteria:

* A degree in Medical Radiation Science (Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent
* Current AHPRA registration (unconditional)
* Current Victorian Radiation Use License
* Demonstrated competency in nuclear medicine imaging and patient-centred care
