Job Summary:
As a Technical Business Analyst, you'll play a critical role in shaping and enhancing our platform capabilities. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex business and engineering needs into executable requirements that uplift reliability, security, and developer experience across the organisation.
This role is ideal for someone who understands platform engineering concepts and enjoys bringing clarity, alignment, and structure to fast-moving technical environments.
Responsibilities:
* Gather, validate, and document business and technical requirements through workshops, SME engagement, and discovery sessions.
* Translate platform engineering concepts (CI/CD, IaC, cloud infrastructure, security controls) into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Analyse current-state processes, identify risks, gaps, and opportunities, and define target-state solutions.
* Ensure all requirements meet compliance, governance, and security standards.
* Support major platform initiatives such as SPLM, GitHub consolidation, Ansible uplift, observability enhancements, and cloud lifecycle improvements.
* Partner with DevOps, Cloud, SRE, Architecture, and Security teams to refine backlog items and validate technical feasibility.
* Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and testing cycles.
* Assist with designing, building, and validating platform capabilities and workflows
* Facilitate alignment across engineering squads, SMEs, product owners, and leadership.
* Lead workshops, decision forums, and technical discussions to drive clarity and consensus.
* Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions through high-quality documentation and reporting.
* Liaise with external vendors and partners during assessments and implementation activities.
Requirements:
* Experience as a Technical Business Analyst in platform, DevOps, cloud, or infrastructure environments.
* Strong skills in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation, including user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Ability to translate technical concepts (CI/CD, IaC, cloud, security, observability) into clear, actionable requirements.
* Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and modern engineering practices.
* Experience collaborating with DevOps, Cloud, SRE, Architecture, and Security teams.
* Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess current state and support target-state design.
* Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
* Clear, confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Comfortable working in complex, fast-changing environments.
