Full-Time | Leadership Role in General Practice
Ralifah Medical Centre is a well-established, patient-focused general practice located in Griffith, NSW. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Office Manager to lead our administrative and reception team and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
This is a key leadership role suited to someone with strong organisational skills, healthcare administration experience, and a proactive approach to practice management.
Salary
$69,160 – $73,112 per annum + superannuation
(Equivalent to $35–$37 per hour based on a 38-hour work week)
About the Role
As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all non-clinical operations of the practice, supporting doctors and staff, and ensuring high standards of patient care, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily administrative and reception operations of the medical centre
* Lead, train, and support administrative and reception staff
* Oversee appointment systems, patient flow, and front-desk operations
* Ensure compliance with Medicare, privacy legislation, and accreditation standards (e.g. RACGP)
* Manage billing processes, Medicare claims, private billing, and reporting
* Liaise with external providers, accountants, IT support, and suppliers
* Assist with rostering, leave management, and performance monitoring
* Handle patient feedback, complaints, and service improvement initiatives
* Support practice growth, workflow optimisation, and quality improvement activities
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience in medical administration or similar management (general practice preferred)
* Strong knowledge of Medicare billing, MBS items, and private billing processes
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* High level of organisational and problem-solving ability
* Competence with medical practice software and Microsoft Office
* Understanding of patient confidentiality, privacy, and professional standards
Desirable
* Previous experience as an Office Manager
