The Role Join our dynamic kitchen team as a Chef de Partie, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, consistent meals in a safe and compliant environment.
Working closely with the Chef Team Leader and broader kitchen staff, you'll prepare large-volume meals with care, ensuring all dietary and texture-modified requirements are met.
We're looking for someone with a passion for cooking, strong organisational skills, and an understanding of the nutritional needs of elderly residents.
Ability to complete the key responsibilities of the role to the required standard Be aware of work health and safety requirements and report hazards and issues of concern.
Be aware of emergency procedures and location of evacuation exits and equipment Assistance in the maintenance of a clean, hazard free environment Follow workplace procedures for accident and incident reporting What We're Looking For Qualifications Level 1 and 2 Food Safety Certificate / Appropriate Food Safety Competence Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery Experience Proven experience as a Sous chef or in a similar role in a production kitchen.
Sound knowledge of food safety practices, including HACCP regulations.
Understanding of the dietary needs and nutritional requirements of elderly residents, including texture-modified diets.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Understanding of portion control and large-scale food preparation techniques.
Experience with bulk cooking and the ability to adapt recipes for large quantities while maintaining food quality.
Essential skills A compassionate and caring attitude, with an understanding of the needs of elderly residents.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring meals meet dietary and nutritional requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on efficiency and high standards.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno-specific environment.
