The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a fast-paced, collaborative finance team. In this role, you will take ownership of debtor management, ensuring timely collections, account reconciliations, and strong stakeholder engagement to maintain a healthy cash flow position.
You'll act as a key liaison between the finance team and external clients, balancing diplomacy and assertiveness to drive results. Your strong communication skills, eye for detail, and proactive mindset will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage outstanding debts and follow up on overdue accounts
* Conduct regular reconciliations of debtor accounts
* Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or disputes
* Prepare and distribute debtor reports and aged receivables analysis
* Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
* Support the implementation of improved credit control policies and procedures
* Assist with financial reporting and audit support as required
Experience Required:
* Demonstrated experience in credit control or accounts receivable, ideally within insurance or financial services
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
* A customer-focused mindset with a solutions-oriented approach
