 
        
        The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety is seeking a Senior Gas Inspector.
Remuneration package of up to $176,802 per annum, based on salary $120,457 - $132,753 pa, superannuation and attraction and retention incentive (ARI) payments.
Role Overview
The successful applicant will contribute to the community, develop their skills, and thrive in a diverse and inclusive workforce. Key responsibilities include:
 * Coordinate and/or undertake investigations of fatalities, traumatic and serious incidents, breaches and complaints.
 * Provide advice and information to management, government investigators and families of seriously injured or deceased persons.
 * Undertake complex and sensitive investigations and high-level enforcement activity.
 * Coordinate and undertake inspections of consumers gas installations.
 * Prepare documentation required to enforce gas, technical and safety legislation.
 * Undertake audits of network operators' consumer installation inspection systems and network operators' supply systems and work practices.
Qualifications and Licenses
 * Certificate of competency in gas fitting or a gas fitting permit endorsed Class G and I, with extensive practical industrial gas fitting experience.
 * Current Western Australian C or C-A class drivers' licence) or equivalent
