Permanent opportunity to work as an electronics/mechanical assembler for a government contractor
**Your new company**
Would you like to work for a government contractor that designs and manufactures specialised products? This company has been established for over 40 years and has sites based across the nation. Their ACT branch is currently seeking permanent employees for a range of roles including an Electronics/Mechanical Assembler.
**Your new role**
You will join the soldering team to build and assemble specialist electronics/mechanical products. On the day to day, you will be;
- Assembling and repairing printed circuit boards as well as a range of other electronic products.
- Assemble prototype products under mínimal supervision and mark drawings to reflect changes
- Carry out quality control inspections and record data
- Soldering to a high level of detail and accuracy
**What you'll need to succeed**
Successful applicants will need;
- You must also be an Australian citizen and possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a baseline personnel security clearance.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and a high level of data entry skills
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical assembly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to liaise internally and externally with stakeholders, counterpoints and colleagues.
- You may also be required to complete medical, psychometric and or skills testing as part of the onboarding process
**What you'll get in return**
As an Electronics Assembler, you will have access to free onsite parking, an inner south Canberra work location and a salary package of $65,000 - $90,000 including Superannuation.
