The role
The core of this role is metal polishing. You will polish and detail aluminium bull bars to a high, consistent finish, complete accessory fit-ups and prepare products for dispatch so every bar leaves the factory in excellent condition.
Key responsibilities
Work to the workshop schedule and sequence jobs in the correct dispatch order.
Polish and detail aluminium bars to a bright, uniform finish using powered hand tools and compounds (7 inch sander, barrel grinder, buff and soft mop).
Remove weld discolouration and surface marks using abrasives and compounds, protecting adjacent finished surfaces.
Clean and prep with aluminium-secure degreasers, then final wipe before QA.
Fit genuine and aftermarket lights and accessories to specification.
Verify fasteners, mount plate fit, opening angles and eyebolt positions.
Pack products for transport and attach required paperwork.
Complete job cards and maintain tidy, protected work areas.
