Job Description
AECOM's environmental practice is dedicated to helping industries, clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment. We provide advisory and technical services to ensure compliance, manage impacts, and reduce risks, including obtaining permits and approvals, decommissioning and restoring contaminated sites, and tackling climate change challenges and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering fieldwork across ground remediation and contaminated land projects, including site investigations, remediation works, validation sampling and monitoring across the NT and beyond
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‐quality, client‐focused outcomes
* Engaging with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to support project delivery and business development efforts
* Contributing to a positive team culture and a collaborative, knowledge‐sharing environment
Qualifications
* A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, and a valid Australian driver's licence and Australian citizenship (due to project requirements requiring defence clearance)
* About 1–3 years experience in ground remediation, including contaminated land assessment, soil and groundwater remediation or related field‐based work, ideally
* Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and participate across a wide range of projects while contributing to a supportive, team‐focused environment
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed
* A proactive attitude, curiosity to learn, and a commitment to delivering quality work
