Job Role Summary
This is a technical position focused on providing top-notch support for customers.
* Maintain and troubleshoot complex customer issues related to open source software.
* Collaborate closely with Canonical's Field, Support and product engineering teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
* Resolving intricate problems associated with Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, Open Stack, or Kubernetes.
* Developing bug fixes, backporting patches, and working with upstream communities for inclusion.
* Reviewing code produced by other engineers to ensure high-quality standards.
* Demonstrating exceptional judgment in technical methods and techniques.
* Prioritizing work effectively and managing time against key priorities.
Qualifications:
* An outstanding academic record in Computer Science or a related field.
* Background experience in Linux and open source software development.
* Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Go, C, or C++) on Linux.
* A drive to learn new technologies and tackle challenging issues.
* Ability to travel occasionally for internal events.
